Food Innovation Summit 2013: Food Chain Sustainability and Dynamics

Sustainability requires a precompetitive, chain-wide approach and fresh thinking to find the radical innovations needed. This was the key message of the TI Food and Nutrition Food Innovation Summit, held 25 and 26 February 2013 at the Hotel De Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, the Netherlands.

Over 50 international delegates from different disciplines attended the FIS 2013. In an informal and inspiring setting, with plenary sessions and parallel discussions, the participants addressed the core subject, Food Chain Sustainability and Dynamics: foresight and scenarios to meet global food security.
They delved deeply into issues vital for companies that must sustain their businesses in today’s challenging global business environment.
Some of the key issues were: ecological efficiency, customer intimacy and sustainable consumer behaviour.
