Editorial InTouch: Focus on success

This spring TiFN has seen a lot of new activities; our new InTouch newsletter is showcasing our output. Congratulations to our new PhDs, Andy Holwerda and Irene Fleur Kramer. We will add them to our list of alumni and hope to stay in contact. For TiFN it is essential to maintain a high quality of our ways of working. In the article about our project leaders’ day you can read about how we are optimising the output of our projects. Also, our ways of working are being extended with the new Results2Success (R2S) workshop; two projects have piloted the new format. The idea to take time to plan the final project year together with all partners appears to be highly appreciated. For both groups the R2S workshop has led to significant focus on increasing the output. As always, TiFN is making sure that the next project teams to enter the R2S workshop will benefit from the experiences of the previous teams. The TiFN staff is making sure our forthcoming Retreat will be as successful as the previous edition. Read all about the tentative programme below.

Not in this edition but important to know is that we are working on several new strategic projects that will be filed for the NWO cross-over or NWA programme later this month. For TiFN it is important that we are involved in these new programmes as a partner to secure a coherent project portfolio for the long-term.

I wish you a spring season where ideas grow from inspiration, and results become meaningful through collaboration!
